A 100 percent silk pillowcase is an absolute must for anyone in search of a beautiful night's sleep. It helps to prevent sleep wrinkles and aids in keeping hair beautifully styled throughout the night. Cool in the summer and warm in the winter, a Mulberry Park pure silk pillowcase is a delightful luxury to be enjoyed throughout the year.
Everyone knows the importance of a great night's sleep. And waking up to better looking skin and hair is always a plus. But how is that possible with just a pillowcase?
Beauty experts, stylists, and insiders have known for decades that sleeping on silk is a game changer for your beauty routine. No, it's not going to give you the same results as a visit to the plastic surgeon. But these industry experts know – and now you do, too – that sleeping on silk makes for the most restful, restorative, beauty-building sleep you can get.
"I bought two silk pillowcases, pink and white. They feel so soft and I definitely noticed when I wake up in the mornings I do not have any pillow creases on my face which I'd get with cotton pillowcases. When I lay down or wake up, I love the lush feeling I get from these pillowcases. Highly recommend!"

"I have the 22 Momme silk pillowcase. I love everything about them. They are cooling, smooth and soft. I do notice a difference in my hair and face when I get up in the morning. I was worried that my pillow would slip out without a zipper and only a flap to hold it in. The design is perfect and that is not an issue. What a luxurious treat every night!"

"I ordered two silk pillowcases in Ivory and absolutely love them. Mulberry Park is the only company I found that has 30 momme silk. The quality of the pillowcase quite good. They are soft yet strong and beautiful. I had silk pillowcase with a zipper which would catch on the fabric. One reason I choose Mulberry Park is for their envelope enclosure. It is very generous and the pillow stays put."

At some point in the next 24 hours, you're going to lay down to sleep. Hopefully for at least six to eight hours. We think you should use that time wisely -- on a luxurious, comfortable, mulberry silk pillowcase that is great for your skin, hair, and sleep. Whatever your natural hair or skin type, sleeping on silk should be one of the essential elements of your daily health, beauty, and wellness routine.
Our pure mulberry silk pillowcase deliver these beauty benefits:
Silk is a soft, smooth, friction-free surface. No pulling or tugging like you get with the fibers from a cotton pillowcase. This is why our silk pillowcase tames tangles and frizzy hair and helps keep bed head at bay, even on curly hair. The gentle surface of silk is perfect for preventing hair breakage and split ends while protecting delicate hair and fragile regrowth.
The friction-free surface of our silk pillowcase means your delicate facial skin can glide across. This can help silk stop those nasty sleep lines (the ones that can lead to fine lines and wrinkle formation)! Pair our pure silk pillowcase with a pure mulberry silk eye mask to truly pamper your peepers.
Speaking of your face, silk is non-irritating. It is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to mold and mites. Doctors recommend sleeping on silk for folks with sensitive skin (even babies) and common skin conditions like acne and eczema. A pure silk case for your pillow will soothe and calm you.
Silk is a protein-based fiber. This makes silk naturally moisturizing and protective to your skin and hair (especially the cuticle). A cotton pillowcase acts like a reverse moisturizer. Cotton is absorbent and pulls moisture away from your hair and delicate facial skin while you sleep. Silk's unique properties help your skin retain more moisture than cotton, so your skin can stay healthy and moisturized all night.
Silk regulates temperature and wicks moisture. Silk fabric is breathable, which keeps you comfortable year-round in any sleep conditions.
There's a lot of science behind why silk is so wonderful for you. We're happy to share our expertise to help you understand why silk is so special.
Silk is a protein-based fiber that contains 18 essential amino acids. Your hair and skin are also protein-based. This is why silk nourishes hair and skin and helps them retain natural moisture. In fact, lots of spa- and salon-level hair and skin products contain silk protein, known as sericin.
Silk amino acids are natural water-soluble glycoproteins extracted from silk. Therefore, you will see the term "silk amino acids," also referred to as "sericin" or "silk protein." The protein structure of amino acids in our skin and the protein structure of amino acids in silk are highly compatible.
Amino acids are the building blocks used to make peptides and proteins we all need to stay healthy. When a silkworm creates its filament, the silk fiber is "glued together" with sericin or silk amino acids. Many high-end cosmetics and lotions secret ingredients are the essential amino acids and sericin they extract from silk. When you sleep on a silk pillowcase or silk bed sheets, your skin and hair also benefit from these natural amino acids and sericin found in the silk fiber.
A natural silk pillowcase is a perfect choice for anyone with acne-prone or sensitive skin. Additionally, it is hypoallergenic and naturally resistant to mold, dust mites, fungus, and other allergens. In fact, skincare specialists and dermatologists often recommend sleeping on silk to help manage these skin conditions.
While silk is not magical, a Mulberry Park pillowcase has special properties that make it the ideal sleep surface for people with sensitive skin or conditions like acne, eczema, or psoriasis.
Mulberry Park silk pillowcases are spun from the highest quality silk in the market: Grade 6A. The individual silk fibers are thin, fine, and strong, for the ultimate in breathable comfort.
Pure mulberry silk wicks away moisture, which keeps it away from sensitive skin.
The unique cellular structure of silk fiber allows it to naturally regulate temperature, keeping you warm in winter, cool in summer, and comfortable year-round.
Silk fibers contain a special protein known as sericin, which naturally repels bacteria, mold, dust mites, and other allergens.
At Mulberry Park, we believe you should feel absolutely confident that any silk you put next to your skin is safe, non-toxic, and natural. That's why we've taken the step of certifying all of our products to the rigorous criteria of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This independent certification means that everything we produce is free from harmful toxins and chemicals through all phases of manufacturing.
At Mulberry Park Silks, our mission is to deliver the highest quality silk products at fair and affordable prices. And It's personal for us. A decade ago, our founder, Mary, discovered the benefits of sleeping on silk. But, she was frustrated by the lack of high-quality, well-priced silk bedding on the market. So she spent more than a year searching and sourcing the perfect silk that satisfied her in terms of quality AND value.
Mulberry Park silk pillowcases (and silk sheets) are all made of 100 percent natural mulberry silk in charmeuse weave, which is smooth and lustrous on one side with a soft, dull finish on the reverse.
Charmeuse comes from the French word for a female charmer. Charmeuse is not a type of silk but rather a type of weave. When silk is manufactured in a charmeuse weave, it gives the fabric a smooth, shiny finish on one side and the reverse (or backside) has a dull finish. When silk is woven in a charmeuse weave, the warp threads across over four of the backing weft threads. This weave creates a lightweight silk fabric with a beautiful sheen perfect for pillowcases, robes, and sleepwear.
Our silk is always graded 6A, which is the highest quality silk on the market. No matter who you buy your silk pillowcase from, never settle for inferior quality silk, always purchase grade 6A silk quality.
You’ll Love Our Silk
Mulberry Park Silks sells pillowcases, bedding, and accessories made of genuine, 100 percent pure silk. This is important. ONLY genuine silk delivers the unique health, wellness, and beauty benefits you deserve. Many low-priced “silky” pillowcases are not really silk but instead a petroleum-based polyester satin or rayon satin pillowcase or a silk blend.
Our silk comes in a variety of weights, known as momme. Similar to thread count for cotton fabric, momme measures the amount and density of silk fabric. The higher the momme count or number, the more silk is used. For comparison, 19 momme silk fabric equates to the weight of 600 thread count cotton fabric and 22 momme silk is comparable to 900 thread count. Our silk pillowcases are available in 19 momme, 22 momme, and 30 momme weights. Again, the higher the momme number the more silk that is used when making the best silk pillowcase.
Mulberry Park Silks prioritizes safety. Our natural silk pillowcases are already hypoallergenic. But we've taken the additional step of obtaining an outside safety certification. Every product we make is independently tested and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified to be free from any harmful toxins and chemicals through every phase of the production process. We want your beauty sleep to be absolutely worry-free! Look for the OEKO TEX Standard 100 logo and label proudly displayed on our website and products. When you purchase from us, rest assured that you are buying from an ethical silk company.
Design details and craftsmanship matter to us. Our pillowcase features a tailored French seam and a generous envelope closure to hold your pillow securely in place. We prefer the envelope over a zipper closure. Zipper pulls can easily puncture silk fabric and zipper teeth can catch and tear silk. Even a hidden zipper can poke you while you sleep. Our unique envelope with an 8'' flap stops all that. Tuck your pillow tightly in for a finished look and wonderful feel with no unattractive and uncomfortable zippers in sight!
Mulberry Park Silk was recently named "Best Overall Sheet Set" by both Women's Health and Prevention's online magazine in its recent ranking of the top silk bedding. Additionally, this pillowcase is ranked in Oprah Magazine as one of the "Best Silk Pillowcases". Our silk pillowcases for hair and skincare is one of our most affordable products.
Of course, we love selling silk bedding and pillowcases. But our goal is to build a lasting relationship founded on trust, transparency, and value. Our silk is the absolute finest on the market, and we sell it at fair and affordable prices. We also believe that our ultra-soft and smooth natural silk pillow case will have you sleeping better and more beautifully.
But we want you to be sure before you buy. That's why we offer a complimentary silk swatch sample program. You can order complimentary swatches of our silk pillowcases to check out at home before you purchase.
We're also here to answer any questions and offer specific recommendations. Unlike many silk sellers who operate from offshore, Mulberry Park Silks is headquartered in Branford, CT. Our team is here and ready to respond to your needs.
With Mulberry Park's ultra-soft and smooth natural silk pillowcases, you'll sleep comfortably and wake with healthier skin and hair. And a silk pillowcase takes luxury to a whole new level.
But we're not going to overpromise. Your silk pillowcase is likely to deliver gradual improvements to your hair and skin over time (although some of our clients DO report dramatic differences sooner than later). And sleeping on silk delivers immediate relief by soothing irritated or sensitive skin and regulating body temperature. Of all the anti-aging products on the market, real silk pillowcases (and sheets) are some of the best investments you can make in overall health and well-being. It's time to make silk a part of your daily wellness routine!
