Mary spent two decades working in sales, banking, and finance, including consulting with Manhattan-based textile businesses. In 2004, Mary followed her innate entrepreneurial spirit to launch Fine Linen and Bath, a pioneer in luxury linen e-commerce. Mary's personal passion for silk -- and desire to make it affordable to a wide audience -- led her to establish Mulberry Park Silks. It was a time-intensive endeavor. She spent a year traveling the globe visiting silk manufacturers until she found the perfect partner to make the Mulberry Park Silks vision a reality. "As much as I personally loved sleeping on silk, I never could have predicted the amazing response we've received from clients," Mary said. " We started with just one white pillowcase (still her favorite) and have expanded our line with every season due to the fantastic feedback we get on a daily basis."
Erika started at our sister firm in 2014 and is now Mulberry Park Silks Brand Manager and Customer Service Manager. She loves connecting with clients and is excited to educate them about the benefits of silk, which she has discovered first hand over the years. Recently, Erika built out the Mulberry Park Silks product offerings with a line of pure silk scrunchies. She had been sleeping on a silk pillowcase but thought that her hair might benefit from the touch of silk during the daytime as well. Her hunch was correct. "I've been wearing the scrunchies for years, and my hair has completely changed," she reports. "There's less breakage and it is overall softer, shinier, and not as frizzy."
Kendra comes to Mulberry Park Silks after a career in the wellness industry, with a strong background in customer service, technology, and training. As an e-commerce specialist, her focus is on building product content as well as web design and photography. Kendra's favorite Mulberry Park Silks product: "I love, love, love my pillowcases. I use the 19 momme cases because I really like how lightweight and easy to care for they are. These have been my go-to gift for just about everyone I know and I always get requests for more. When I travel I have to bring one with me or I won't get a good night's sleep. And my little nephew refuses to sleep on anything else but his silk pillowcase now. We've nicknamed him our little prince and he was actually the inspiration for our Children's collection of silk products."
