Charmeuse comes from the French word for a female charmer. Charmeuse is not a type of silk but rather a type of weave. When silk is manufactured in a charmeuse weave, it gives the fabric a smooth, shiny finish on one side and the reverse (or backside) has a dull finish. When silk is woven in a charmeuse weave, the warp threads across over four of the backing weft threads. This weave creates a lightweight silk fabric with a beautiful sheen perfect for pillowcases, robes, and sleepwear.

Firstly, I am very aware that buying one of these sheets is an investment. I took a very long time researching and watching videos about silk. What initially impressed me about this company is their attention to detail - the way seams are finished, that the amount of material for the envelope pillows is oversized so your pillow will not slip out, that the material is okeo-tek, etc. This company truly cares about their product and their customers. When I saw this sheet on sale I took the plunge. Firstly it feels amazing. However, I have hot flashes and since using this as a top sheet along with one of their 30 momme pillowcases, I have not had wet/damp sheets and I feel very comfortable temperature-wise in bed. I've been wanting a silk sheet to take on travels with me. This blesses the host wherever I stay so they don't have to wash their sheets after my visit and I get blessed with the best sleep that only silk gives! I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this sheet. I love my flat sheet, even if it is a bit short. I have an XL twin size bed and I dislike having sheets that don't tuck in well so I ordered the 22 momme, full size flat sheet. I love, love, love the feel of my sheet. I actually bought the fitted 22 momme sheet and getting into bed now is WONDERFUL!!! I've bought my pillowcases from these folks so having these items on my bed is the best! After all, I deserve it at 70 years old. It's my turn. :-)))
