Charmeuse comes from the French word for a female charmer. Charmeuse is not a type of silk but rather a type of weave. When silk is manufactured in a charmeuse weave, it gives the fabric a smooth, shiny finish on one side and the reverse (or backside) has a dull finish. When silk is woven in a charmeuse weave, the warp threads across over four of the backing weft threads. This weave creates a lightweight silk fabric with a beautiful sheen perfect for pillowcases, robes, and sleepwear.

Okay, so it hasn’t been a complete year, but close enough. I’ve had these sheets since September 2022, no other product has made me come back and add an additional review. These sheets are still silky smooth since I received them day one last year. There is no pilling anywhere on them, I had doubts on how long they would last when I bought them… my doubts are all gone. They are worth every penny, I enjoy every nights sleep I get on them. I always fall asleep comfortably, I have a white goose down comforter which is very heavy, yet I can still use it in the summer time because the silk sheets keep me cool… yet in the winter time it keeps me nice and warm and cozy.
Don’t hesitate to get these, they are the real deal and will last you with proper care… you will not regret it!

I splurged on these sheets because silk repels dust mites and I'm allergic. They arrived quickly and nicely packaged, and they're beautiful and high quality. Very comfortable and cooling for sleeping on. I also appreciated the site's comprehensive silk care instructions and recommendation of the Heritage Park detergent (which smells INCREDIBLE). Washing is easy in a large delicates bag.

I made a risky decision - buy an entire silk sheet set having never had silk bedding before. Not even a pillow case. I didn't even know if I would LIKE silk, period. All I knew about it is that one side is nice, one side is scratchy. I also had no idea what to expect from this company - I was concerned it could be one of those companies that buys products from a mediocre factory and charges a premium to cover all their advertising.
I was fully prepared to be disappointed and have to fight for a refund, or just be out hundreds of dollars with crappy sheets. Instead, I am DELIGHTED. I went looking for any issues with the seams/stitching, any discoloration, loose threads, holes, etc... and found nothing but buttery smooth fabric. Knowing nothing about silk, I can still tell this is high quality bedding. The "scratchy" side I was expecting is just as comfy as any cotton sheets I've had, and the smooth side is hands down the first time I felt like I had a *real* luxury item.
I've been sleeping with these sheets for a few weeks, and I am very, very glad I went with Mulberry Park. I can't compare them to other silk sheets, but I can say that I paid magnitudes more for this bedding than I usually do, and got magnitudes better quality in return. If you're unsure if you'll like silk, it's probably smarter to start with smaller items, but I think with Mulberry Park at least, you can focus on seeing if you like the fabric, because the quality won't be an issue!
Also, I was interested in silk for pragmatic reasons (psoriasis aggravated by moving to the desert), and a light grey is my go-to cuz I'm not the decorative/artistic type, but holy moly, this is BEAUTIFUL fabric. Smooth or wrinkled, even the "dull" side looks fantastic, and the shiny side is outright gorgeous, voluminous, and enticing.
The only cons aren't unique to this brand, but just how silk is from what I've read: primarily that silk and especially silk-on-silk is very slippery, so keeping the bed neat is tough. It seems to wrinkle readily, if that bothers you. They're cold to the touch when you first get in bed, but in my experience they warm to body temp in just a few mins, and have not prevented me from feeling cozy warm on cold (low 50s/high 40s Fahrenheit) nights.
All around in love with my bedding now. <3
